: My new wheels!!!

You thought this was going to be my new set of 18s.... hahah!

The new 18s are not going on the car until next month.

Here is how I was rolling last week:

And now:

The car rides SO much better with the 15 inch wheel and tire combo.

I also want to thank everyone who suggested those ZQ8 bumpstops.. they helped tremendously with ride comfort in the city.
Take care,

HA! I love it! It really dignifies up the ride.

Hmmm...that car doesn't look too bad with those old style wire wheel covers on it...

I was going to say maybe whitewalls would have been nice, but i think the cleaner black sidewall is better with the black car.

I agree, and I was going to go with white walls or Vogues.. but the deal I got on this brand new set of Michelins was too hard to pass up. Plus this is the "winter" setup.. so doesn't have to look good.

Believe it or not I got 2 compliments today with these on. One from the neighbors of my girl's parents and one from the guy pumping gas next to me. :highfive:

That looks odd. lol, I don't mean bad at all, it's like the hearses and the occasional limo that still had wires on that body style. Needless to say it would look better with whitewalls, but for winter rims, who cares?

can't wait to see the new 18s!

Elias, that first picture, are those black rims the standard rims (minus the wheel covers) on the 77-92 Broughams or is it a different style black rim?

I'm not sure if you know this, but when I got my Roadmaster, it had some black racing style rims on it that IMO didn't fit on a luxury car. Here's a pic.
That's me with it on the day I bought it, 4/17/04.

Your car will always look incredible, but I'm not a fan of those wheels--mainly just never been a fan at all of the wire hubs--so temporary winter usage is great for them. Plus, at least it still looks OEM Caddy, and even as if it may have come that way.

That said, what I can't wait to see is combo #4, your new 18" OZ's...and then whatever comes after that:)

That looks incredible. I know what I'm doing when I finally lay hands on one of those cars. NICE!

I'd keep it like that, honestly. And if the ride is better, double plus!

I see you recieved the wheel covers. Doesn't look that bad.

Very 1st picture demonstrates how important goodies the rims are if you wanna have a great looking car .
In 2nd image old style also nice looking but SS rims a bit nicer .

The Fleetwood is a heavy car, so I went with a set of four used Caprice 9C1 heavy duty 15X7 inch wheels. I then bought Nick's wire hubcaps from his 1991 Brougham and attached them to the 9C1 wheels.

Not the most handsome setup, but it will do for now. Looks like I will keep this setup in the storage shed until next November when the weather starts getting rough here.

Thanks again for all the comments

Elias -
What flavor tire shine do you use - and how long does it last?

Meguiar's Hot Shine Tire Gel. I really like it because it does not fling around your fenders after you drive off. They "claim" it conditions the tire and prevents cracking too....
