Has anyone done the CTS-V exhaust mod...only to then go back and add
Magnaflows....I've got a CTS-V exhaust available to me but I am wondering If I should just add magnaflows w/ tips to my existing dual exhaust on a 3.6L...
any opinions would be appreciated...I've listened to the clips on Cadillacfaq...

Yeah, guys have done it. It is a noise factor to consider.

RobertCTS...how does your Corsa exhaust differ from the CTS-V exhaust....are you familiar with how to go about getting it at a good cost ?

The V exhuast and Corsa are the same diameter. But the exhaust path is different, IIRC.
If you want a little more sound from your V, try an X-pipe. You could also drill holes in the V mufflers and remove filler. I think it's fibreglass? The V mufflers are magnaflows anyhow.

if you go with V exhaust, let me know i`m looking to buy a 3.6 dual
The V-Exhaust is the perfect tuned sound for the 3.6L I belive. Not too loud, yet more agressive than stock.
It's a matter of opinion really. How loud do you want your CTS to be?

ReyRey650...not sure...I'm hoping someone has placed magnaflows on their existing 3.6l setup to get their opinion....but don't think so...seems the more common setup is either a V-exhaust or Corsa/Borla...etc

The Corsa is 2 1/4" and CTS-V is 2 1/2". I started with the V exhaust. When I went to the Hugger headers and hi-flow cats I added the 2 1/2 V Resonator and Corsa exhaust. Everything now is 2 1/4" with the exception of the resonator. I thought the larger 2 1/2" resonator would flow better.
Of I had an X-Pipe in place of the resonator for about a week...Geeez was that noisey!!
Another choice over Magnaflow is Zoomers mufflers

That's possible. Mine are a year old and are 2 1/4". Someone said the GM endorsed logo on the box has been removed and GM no longer backs them.
At least mine are covered...I hope.
