: 1995 STS Hard Starting

I have a 1995 STS and lately it's been experiencing hard starting issues. I realize that this could be a number of things, but I was hoping that someone here might help me to narrow it down. Maybe it's something that I can fix. Here are the symptoms:

When starting first thing in the morning, it starts on the first turn (the car is in a garage all night). However after I run it - and pretty much for the rest of the day - when I try to start it it takes three turns to start up. I don't ever press the accelerator when starting. I always use the highest octane major brand gas in it (as per my Caddy mechanic).

I'm thinking that the fuel injectors might be getting dirty or clogged.

Any ideas?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

I have similiar problem. I fixed my leaky FPR and it still does it. most likely my fuel injectors are leaky. I dont feel like fixing them, too much $$$. have you checked your FPR to see if its leaking?

Yup, if cold starts are fine, but hot starts are a problem, most likely a leaky FPR. See the Tech Tips section if you are unfamiliar with how to check it. It's very easy.
