View Full Version : best sub? inmycadillac 03-23-04, 02:11 PM I'm in the market for a new 15. Currently I have some generic brand called Aria. I got it at a swap meet. It lasted for about a year but is now starting to rip around the outer edge.(whats the technical word for the outer edge?) Anywayz, I need sumn that lasts. Cuz I got an Eclipse head unit, Kenwood Xcelon amp and Pioneer 6x9s, 3.5s in the dash and 4x6s in the doors. It sounds crisp and clear with aiight bass. I need a better sub. What r your suggestions? JL audio?, Rockford?(had success w/them in the past) how much you want to spend? what kind of music you listen more often? inmycadillac 03-23-04, 11:51 PM how much you want to spend? what kind of music you listen more often?

cool, thanks man. i'll check for the ID next time i get to Minot or Fargo. i have limited stores to buy from here in this small state. Fargo's pop is 90,000+ and they seriously only have 1 store dedicated to mobile electronics. they used to have 2 but the one i preferred and was a loyal customer of, closed! of course, there is Best Buy, etc. but screw that. i want professional grade. i only have 4 to chose from. i'll prolly just call and see if any of them have ID or can order it for me. cool... just make sure to check their specs before so the sub is ok for your amp and the trunk space you want to give away... if you listen to the ID, you'll love it. (I have own those 3 and several other brands)
keep me updated man! 92brougham 03-25-04, 08:26 AM hey man...im gonna put you on sumthin crazy...get 2 12" kicker solobaric L7s or 15" but 12s are crazy...just 1 12" l7 cud bring a dead guy back to life...thats how much those things bump! let me know if your interested i cud prolly work something out since i sell these alot BUILDINGCTSAMG 03-25-04, 08:38 AM The best subs made are focals, unfortunatly they are super expensive but they do come with a lifetime warranty if you dont buy them online The best subs made are focals, unfortunatly they are super expensive but they do come with a lifetime warranty if you dont buy them online
He he he... you like them, don't you? ME TOO... unfortunately they don't have even a single model that fits my system... I would like to have the 40 KX, but it's only available in 4 ohms... :rant2:.
I'm about to change sub, Im deciding between a brahma and an ID... Nice CTS, by the way... AElayyat 03-28-04, 12:39 AM Depending on how much power you have going to the sub, go Xtant. They make good stuff. Depending on how much power you have going to the sub, go Xtant. They make good stuff.
Mmmm.... though call man. Even if Xtant makes some of the best amps around, I don't think the performance of their subs is at the same level. For the music Inmycadillac listens to and the size we wants, he has better options. | |
