can anyone give a little input on a possible shortcut to removeing the trans to change the flexplate and torque converter, can I just remove the driver side frame bolts and possibly loosen the passenger side enough for the frame to tilt to gain access to the trans?I'm sure it will be easiest to just drop the frame, engine and trans all at one time right to the floor I was just hoping I could find a shortcut any help will be greatly appreciated thanks.
You should be able to do it by dropping one side of the cradle. The wiring on the 93's is a pain and harder to remove than 97's. Dropping one side should save a lot of time.
I don't think so. You can do the input speed sensor in the car, but no matter what the cradle has to be dropped for the transaxle. It wont clear it. You can do it with the engine in the car using an engine support fixture, I still think it's quicker to drop the whole powertrain.
