i just purchased the Pertronix ignitor for my 69 deville and i can not get it to start. I started it with the points in right before i removed them, i think that i may have the time way off some how. I checked and i am getting spark at the spark plug wires. I have been stuck on this issue for like two weeks i am ready to just put the points back
can some one please help.

Guessing you completely removed the dist. per the instructions? How did you mark it?

A friend did something similar with his '55 Ford Thunderbird. The problem was that the distributor was 180 degrees out of time.
Like the post above, you may have put it back - maybe not 180 out - but maybe a bunch out or - - - like I did with my wife's 1967 GTO when I tried to put in an electronic ignition system, the electronic guts were blown FROM THE FACTORY!
The exchanged unit worked just fine. But I never pulled the distributor in that particular instance.
