Lug pattern should be 5X5 (5X127), offset should be low, not exactly sure how low though.

I sold the set of four 18 inch Enkei SST-2 wheels with custom hub rings and locking hardware for $800 to a good friend of mine.

The new wheels are a secret.. well kind of.. I will post pics once I put them on in late April

Weren't you getting some factory optional wires with correct whitewalls?

BIGMerle
03-05-07, 08:07 AM

Then find another set. IMO they'd stand out in a better way than any aftermarket dubs you'll find.

If you want original wire wheels, you're going to pay through the nose. Sets of original Cadillac wire wheels have been going for close to $2,000 on eBay.

Here's a set that's currently available - and they'll likely sell for an obscene amount. (Hope I'm not violating any use terms by posting the link!)

I have a set of new Torque Thrust II 15x7 5on5 center offset wheels with new BFG 235x70x15 T/A's that I'd sell. Check the classifieds for my '77 Sedan Deville to get an idea of what they look like and how they would look on your Caddy. These are balanced, have new Mcgard never rust lug nuts and Mcgard never rust locks. They have less 200 miles on them.

Let me know if you are interested.

I'm located NorthOfColumbusOhio.

No problem, thanks for looking. That car is for sale if you know anybody looking for low miles (30K) SDV with no rust. Check the classified for details.

One thing when looking for wheels and tires those are about the biggest 15" wheels and tires that will fit in the wheel well correctly.

Also, when you upgrade to whatever size you choose, and there are lots of neat wheels to be had, be prepared to replace the front and rear springs. These old parade cars tended to be undersprung when new to give that soft ride. The down side is with age, not miles, those soft springs sag prematurely, especially in the rear. IMO Caddy did not give a good way to measure ride height, but a good way to check is sit the car on a level surface and measure from the bottom of the frame to the level surface just in front of the rear wheels and just behind the front wheels. This should be the same on both ends. Mine is 10.5" front and back, the design of the body especially the rear wheel wells makes it look like the car is nose high but that's not the case.

Good hunting.

No 13s. They'll rub if done wrong, and look like shit no matter what.

Now those would look nice if they were 15s. Or even 17s with lower profile vogues.

How about 9C1 wheels for that rugged look, haha!

My winter setup:

Yes, 22s are waaaaaaay to ghetto for that classy caddy.

Is there really any specific look you're going for?

a clean classic look but yet something that will stick out....thats why i was thinking 13's but dont want rubbing

You can't go wrong with clean and classic. I think if you got those wires you were looking at in 15" it would gook great, and stand out in the right way. 13s are almost as ghetto as 22s.

Here's a 1978 Coupe on 13s with stock suspension.

http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c40/Cadillac_guy/2929_1.jpg

They pretty much only look good if you have hydraulics. You could pull off 14s if you lowered it a couple inches, but I think 15s would look best.

what about 18's or 20's? are they too big?

Benzilla

20s will fit fine, 18s IMO aren't a great size for this body style. their too big to be regular rims, and too small to be "DUBS"

You heard what I think, it's up to you.
