CAD-E! 03-21-04, 06:12 PM are chrome on these tow hooks pretty good, i remember awhile back some was saying that its better to get your stock ones chrome plated. if these are pretty good i'll buy a set. hcvone 03-22-04, 09:11 AM I did my own, but I know of two people that purchased these and were very pleased. 84caddy 03-22-04, 01:25 PM DON'T buy the ones off ebay - mine have only lasted 6 months and have rust coming through - cheap ass chrome...if you live anywhere that uses roadsalt, I'd stay away! Good chrome should be fine in salt. get your stock ones chromed instead!!! hcvone 03-22-04, 02:34 PM 84, good point, if you do a lot of highway driving and you get a lot of paint chips and nicks on your car or truck, then you will also have a problem with your chrome tow hooks holding up for than a year or so. Jonas 03-23-04, 01:03 PM I just took my stock tow hooks off and went to my local chrome shop. I think they charged me $50. They do quality work and have a quick turn-around time. The name of the place is BAR Plating in CT, they do some of the chroming for Orange County Choppers. | |
