YourGMsolutions,
I just bought a brand new navigation unit. I have the gps antenna and the nav disc. the nav screen looks different than the one in your video. The screen you have on the old video does not have any buttons on it. The nav screen I have has 2 round buttons (one on each side). I think the screen tilts/folds down to insert the nav disc. There is also a dvd slot above the screen. There are also buttons too. The buttons say on the left side nav, dest, rpt, fav. the right side buttons are audio, menu, seek>, and seek<
The GM part number is 25925493
The delphi p/n is 28128764
Produced on August, 5th, 2008

Will this unit be compatable with a 2007 cadillac Escalade EXT. I bought it from a guy who says it works with 07/08 Escalade, Denali, and several other GM trucks.

I just want to be certain before I pull out the factory radio. If this does not work then I hope you can tell me and save me a headache, and if it needs to be returned id like to do so quickly before I get stuck with it. Like I said it brand new never used, still in original packaing from GM. Thanks

I am 99.9% sure you bought a nav unit for a 2007+ New Body Style Silverado, Tahoe, Yukon, Suburban, Yukon, etc. The Nav Units with the knobs on the actual sides of the screen are not compatible with a 2007+ Cadillac.

The Escalade Nav Units are completely different animals then what is in a new body style Tahoe. For instance, those buttons you talk about on the actual nav screen, or on the sides are not there on the cadillacs. Those controls are down below the monitor on the Escalades.

Sorry for the bad news, i hope the seller takes returns.

Lu Scola. I checked part number that you have with Cadillac parts department

Re: Installing Factory Nav Radio into 2007 Escalade

do you think it will work on the GM's that have the same looking radio? I seen suburbans, silverado and yukons with the same Exact radio inside. I bought a new GPS antenna and a new nav disc from different places, so if it will work with the vehicles i just mentioned then I can list the complete package on ebay, and hopefully break even. I have a total of $550 into this set-up for the brand new nav unit, new gps antenna, and a 2008 nav disc.

Re: Installing Factory Nav Radio into 2007 Escalade

^ Some of GM Nav and non Nav Radios look the same from outside, but they are not really the same inside.
Yukon/Tahoe?avalanche/silverado nav radios are made by Denso. what you have is made by Delphi.
I think if you go to Buick / Saturn or GMC acadia forums, and put your radio in classified section, you can sell it very fast
