whats up with GM on the seating in the 07? I hate having to pull the seats out, they should just fold into the floor like the Mercedes G, its just...for such a great, high tech, up to date SUV you shouldn't have to take these 50 lb seats out like a caravan from the 1980's, sorry just had to vent, I already scratched up my bumper from on of the seats.. I think since they have the back of the truck sitting so far off the ground that they should have done some type of stow-n-go or something...C'MON!
I wish the same too, but because GM is still using a full rear axle design, there just isn't the room for it. Navigator's have the rear independent suspension, and so they have the "fold-in-floor" design like the Benz.
One advantage is that you can lighten up the vehicle about a 100 lbs. I keep the seats OUT.
And on that note, I wish I could find a decent rear cargo carpet mat that works with the goofy plastic seat guides. I tried pulling them off (thinking they snapped in), but they are glued to the carpet. Kind of cheesy.
Husky makes a rubbery liner that integrates the lumps, but carpet would be my choice.
they are just SO heavy to me, and I'm just so short that I have to basically climb into the truck to pull them out..sad..sad ALL fords suspensions are REALLY bad, every late model I have driven was very clattery and bumpy, especially the explorers/aviators. but anyways, I think I will be making a trip down to the dealer to see if they have a rear bumper protector before I rip mine to shreds..
You know this is why Gm stays behind in sales. alot of people would rather have function over style. If Gm could somehow address the little things they may not go under!
I wish you did not have to get them at all, mine sit in the basement until trade in time and then go back in the truck, don't want them to fold, just don't want them at all.
