Space for secondary battery in 2007 Escalade (why?)
I saw the 2007 Escalade earlier today and looked into the engine compartment. The is clearly space and a tray for a secondary car battery in the front driver's side. The factory battery is towards the back on the passenger side.
I didn't see the second battery as an option on any lists. I wonder if GM gives you a power distribution/isolation needed for the second battery.

GM Has been doing this since the early 90's. I had it in my 97 yukon. Lots of reasons to add a second battery, mostly big audio systems utilize this.

lol... It's always gotta be about the rappers or rap music. lol all these stereo types. You guys are giving Hip Hop a bad rap, how many of you listen to R&B music anyway? Just curious.....

I'd say it's probably to accomodate diesel applications (they use 2 batteries).

There's room under the hood of a 2002 for another battery? Damn, I've never noticed it, where is it?
