Question New/Used 2011 Escalade, Steering Column Alignment

Anyone have issues with there steering wheel column, being canted/rotated to the right approx 1/2" to 3/4"??

Like the column was not clocked/indexed correctly when it was installed...

Have looked at others and they look like they have been installed level/straight.

    Please advise.

    Respectfully,
    David

There are several things that can cause this, in need of alignment, bent front end parts, a bad alignment where the steering wheel was not put back to center. Get your truck aligned, if there is nothing wrong and they just have to reset the steering wheel center it should cost you under 100 dollars. If you purchased it new like that you should have said something and they would have corrected it, have seen new cars/trucks off when new, and many times the dealer does not know because they are really not driving the cars/trucks, they are just moving them around the lot.

The steering wheel itself is straight and the vehicle does not pull or wander.

The actual steering column is what I am referring too is canted/rotated to the right.

    Respectfully,
    David

I'm afraid to look at mine as I think I have a mild case of OCD. My buddy mentioned his handlebars were slightly off center at the triple tree on his Harley Road King. I checked mine and it was the same way. It drove me crazy for several years!
