    2007 EXT build

Picked up my new to me 2007 EXT in December, and I can't leave well enough alone.
I bought it, and it was totally stock (minus the paint job)

    • So far have installed 6K 55w HID fogs,
    • have a platinum front end coming
    • going to Plastidip all of the chrome and
    • lowering it 2/4 this week with some airbags in the springs to help with towing.
    • tinted the front windows 20%

I don't see many EXT's on the forum so I thought I would post up some pics as I go through the process.

    Front windows after tinting

Need to polish/get a new headlamp

Soon to be replaced with a Platinum front bumper and grills

    Before the 2/4 lowering

I will take some before and after pics of the chrome being painted black, I think it will look pretty good.

    ----------

A couple of pictures of my EXT in San Francisco.

Rear of the EXT is lowered

Also installed a Magnaflow muffler 12909 sounds great, no drone on the freeway.

Platinum front end is on the way, I will take pics as I install it.

    iSimple Isgm651 bluetooth connection

Installed a new Dorman 949-001 compressor for the rear suspension

Looks good man. That color sticks out. Gonna look sweet with that Platinum front end.

Looks good need to see the full truck. Really like that color. You need to get it buffed though. not to bash just as a detailer that paint would really pop with a buff and some glaze and wax.

I was going to do it myself. But the body shop said that since they were painting it already they would install it for 1 hour of labor only ($75) and I knew it would take me MUCH more than 1 hour to install. So I had them do it.

This is a shot with the new chrome Platinum strip on the hood.

I read that you had to drill some holes to make it fit, but on my truck, I didn't, I just popped off the old one, and popped in the new one. Took 15 seconds.
I will say that $140 for a piece of plastic is ridiculous.

yea a shop is charging 140 to install mine
front clip. fender liners, chrome strip and led drls, parking lights and fogs
thought that was a fair deal. They said it would take 2.5 hours.
yours came out pretty damn clean.
