Yesterday I changed my DRLs to LEDs, and even with the excellent advice here, I managed to break both top fragile clips on the sockets (the white part with the fragile top and bottom flat clip that releases the bulb socket). LED are in and should hold. But then I looked at the LED from the front (through the light assembly lens) and noticed that the white socket retainer has three tabs and the housing has three matching slots as if the whole retainer/socket can come out with a slight rotation. Is that correct, has anyone (or everyone) removed the DRL light socket by just rotating it so the three tabs pull through the three slots?? If the retainer/socket comes out this way I'm going to see if I can order just the white part and repalce mine so both fragile flat tabs are intact. Hope this makes sense to those who have done the change.
