Power liftgate switch to manual operation

    Hi, I,m Peter from Germany,
My question is: Can I switch the power liftgate to manual operation. And if so, how can I do that. I can not find something about that in my manual. ( my carport is to small for a full opened liftgate ) Thank you.

The switch on the overhead console disables the power lift-gate. I think then pressing the button on the tail-gate handle unlocks it only. Can someone else confirm this?

You are correct, push the switch down toward the bottom and it will turn the lift gate into manual operation, even with the fob until you change the switch position. Many of my customers tell me this is a good thing to prevent the lift gate from opening accidentally while in their garage and damaging the lift gate if the fob is pressed while in their pocket or by accident.
