    Arnott Bilstein front shock conversion?

Looking from the website it doesn't say what kind of shocks they are using. Is it just the Bilstein 5100 shocks? Those retail for right around $100 each and they are charging $215 for basically painting them black and giving you the resistors? I don't want to pay $115 for the resistors if that is the only difference.

Thanks for any information or insight to which shocks these are.

Also if anyone knows another source for the resistors let me know.

I can contact them directly but it seems like it would be good information for all of the members on here to have. Most forums are made for exactly that purpose, and I was hoping this one was the same.

This can help Arnott as a site supporter as well, and lead to sales for them.

Your post doesn't seem like you're really interested in drumming up sales for them.......

Hi. I can't answer your question but prior to the 2011 EXT I bought a few months ago I had a 2004 Avalanche Z-71 for 4 years. I installed the 5100's, they are GREAT shocks!!! That is all.

Re: Arnott Bilstein front shock conversion?

I'm interested in the truth if they are the 5100's great, Arnott should chime in and say that. If they are a special shock built only for Arnott by Bilstein great they should chime in on here and say that.

I just want to know exactly what I am buying and what I am paying for.

I did speak with both Arnott and Bilstein today and don't know that I am any more informed. Bilstein guy didn't know much about, and kept referring to the rear shocks Arnott makes even when I directed him to the front he talked about the airbags on the shocks. I told him the fronts didn't have airbags and he didn't say anything and referred to the airbags again. Not much help from him. Arnott guy was giving the expected sales pitch, but seemed helpful.

I will probably end up with the Arnott's strictly from a lack of other options or knowledge from anyone else trying it. I don't want to be the guinea pig and I am running out of time.

Get the Monroe 40034 & 40044 front and rear shocks and the Dorman 949-000 compressor. I have all the above parts and they are ALL factory plug and play. You will be happy with your truck riding just like it did the day it drove off the the car lot brand new! PM me if you have any specific questions. Yes I know all the above parts are pretty expensive but you pay for quality!

I am sorry for the post, I thought I was in the older Escalade forum. 1000 pardons....... :-)
