2007 Escalade trac contral and stability lights warnings and check eng light 110 k

I bought a used Caddy Escalade with 100k in Sept. just recently hit a curb to hard and the curtain air bags went off and took it into get it repair. Upon getting the caddy back after airbags were replace (and battery charged as battery ran down due to hazard flashing and not turning off), I notice first thing the trac/stablilty warnings were on and check engine light. Insurance covered it.

They took it to a GM dealership to run a scan and replaced a sensor (cam sensor?) it think, asking the Ins for more info...insurance covered that...however the issue still happens and not fixed. Insurance won't cover it since how they say its a worn out actuator??? around the camshaft... so they want me to pay for it! I talked the the repair shop and they indicated this is a known problem on Caddys and this engine but no recalls apprently the actuator/bearings can wear out around the 100k mark!!!!

So I have an extended powertrain warranty from the AUL that covers "lubricated" engine repairs and I think this should be covered. Luckilly I bought the ext warranty I hope....bc the are intidacting if the actuator doesn't fix it that the engine might need to be replaced.

The engine shifts differently, harsher and in Reverse too it is harsher.

Anyone else have this issue, I've looked at a bunch of posts on this forum around the p0011 code issue but not sure if thats it or not.

If anyone has any other documentation or advice I would greatly appreciate it.

I bought this, thinking I would spoil myself for once and its been nice up until this point and its now become a nightmare.

thanks in advance for any help!

yes this is a problem a few of us have. Code p0011. The sprocket needs to be replaced the oil control value inside the sprocket. While you are at it the oil pump and timing chain as well for good measure. I would love for GM to do something about this like a good will repair since it is a common problem for 2007s

Thanks for the feedback. Are there any documents on this issue that I could use to get this resolved by the dealer/extended warranty company?

Again thanks much for you note. I'm super frustrated about this and just praying that I get this resolved with minimal impact to my wallet.
