    Escalade VS Moose

Well I managed to do my own personal crash test with my Escalade last night. I hit a moose going about 62mph and didn't even hit the brakes. Was dark and didn't even see him until about five feet before I hit him.
Good news is that although my Escalade is a write off I walked away from the accident. I am pretty impressed with how well it did at protecting me given the speed of the impact.

As said glad you were not hurt, I saw a Tahoe here in upstate NY that hit several deer, the driver was not so lucky.

Glad you were not injured. This is a great example as to why I drive and feel safer in larger SUV like the Escalade.

Wow!! Nice example of a Crumple Zone!!!
Glad no people were injured....I'm sure the moose didn't walk away from that one....too bad...hate to see animals get hurt either. At least you are around to go get yourself another Escalade!!!! Do you have any specific one in mind yet?

    Re: Escalade VS Moose

Yes the moose was killed. He ended up way in the ditch on the other side of the road.
I called my dealer to order a new 2015 black on black today. They seemed open to a short term lease on a used one to hold me over until a new one arrives. May have to buy a used one with a guaranteed trade in not sure yet.
Either way I agree I only drive full size vehicles just in case of something like this!! Still feel lucky as after tthe hit I spun across on coming traffic and narrowly missed getting hit by a vehicle as well.
