Firm up the shifts (handheld flash)

I have a 2007 Escalade EXT and it has the 6 speed transmission. I am wondering if there is some kind of tuner to flash the ECU and give it the option to firm up the transmission shifts?
    Thanks
    Rob

My Diablo Intune allows me to configure shift points and firmness. There are 3 settings for normal, firm and hard. I am very pleased with the tuner overall.

Have you used any of the firmness settings before?
I saw the Diablo InTune allows this change, but wasn't sure how FIRM it would be.
Can you share any real world experience?
    Thanks!

I had it set to Hard shifts and it is very firm. So much so that I changed it to firm instead because I was worried I was going to do some damage over time. It is a very noticeable difference though and you can change (by RPM) how long the gear holds. With the diablo tune, I think it was well worth the $400 for me.

I would recommend a tune from Westers....hits way more parameters than a diablo and cost is about the same...you will get more power, better fuel mileage and stiffer/stronger shift points.

Driving in the trailer towing mode will firm up the shifts.

I also have the intune but I don't recall being able to change the shifts. I installed the diablo tune and it did firm the shifts up but I wouldn't mind firmer. I have had my programmer for about a year. Is yours newer with new features? Thanks

tuners will help some but the only way to really fix it is to tear it down and put thicker selectable snaprings in the cluches

I have had it for over a year myself. Not sure why you aren't seeing this, it is part of the adjustable parameters. You can adjust shift points and shift firmness...as well as other parameters like speedo calibration for bigger wheels and rev limiter etc.

I bet I know why now. I believe that I selected the 'diablo tune" instead of the "adjustable parameters". I was worried that I didn't know enough about the tuning of the engine to go into that mode. The diablo tune was generated on a dyno using somebody on this forum with Diablo Sport and they made it part of the menu of the programmer. Thanks for your help.
