No ideas?, I've read a lot about the tranny valve ,getting stuck, or failing . Anyone had issues or cost of repair for this. Or are the shift selonoids issues as well? Are they serviceable ? Thanks

Its free to unplug the battery for some time to reset the computer/systems. Just be sure everything is powered off before unplugging your battery.

    Hello packman01,

I apologize that your Escalade will not shift into reverse. I do see that you are reaching out to the community for any suggestions, and that you don’t want to go to the dealership. If you do end up going to the dealership, I would be more than happy to assist you in setting up an appointment and working with them. Please feel free to private message me if you would like my assistance.

Are you using a typical code reader? Or a tech2?

Just an update on this issue, went to the dealer and found short in the Tcm, so they had to replace the Tcm (705$) and ims switch (95$), tranny filter and flush and lines...all an all a 2000$ bill. Every thing now works perfect, tranny shifts a lot smoother ect no more hard shifts. My only real problem with this is that when I was quoted the parts at the parts desk they were around 500 and 70$ ( I get a deal through my work) but because I had the work done at the dealer they wouldn't honor that price. Plus I'm missing bolts in my grill, their are broken plastic where the tranny cooler lines go (obvious attempt to save time on flat rate jobs) I have a appointment Monday to resolve the instal issues. I'm not mad about the total, just lazy work really pisses me off..
