    I don't know if all years are the same, but on my 2007 they are just a push fit. They are top hat shaped and fit in a tube shaped metal clip. The caps can be eased out by leavering with a flat blade under both sides, use as wide a blade as possible and take care not to break the edges of the cap. Once removed there is a cross head screw holding the armrest on.
