    Re: warranty

I put one on an Infiniti Q45t that cost me an arm and a leg to extend. I put a $200 transmission sensor through the extended warranty in 80,000 miles. That was a waste of cash.

GMPP looks nice on paper but it doesn't cover struts/front shocks because gm classify it as shock absorber even if it is a coil over.

It states that it covers suspension, front and rear I believe.

nope! tried it and called and they did not cover the "shocks!"

    ----------

look at the fine print and had to pay out of pocket. $1200.00 I think for the front dealer install. the tears are still okay.

    Re: warranty

no wear and tear items so you will have to pay for shocks but that is pretty much it, I still got a lot of money out of GMPP

    Re: warranty

Wouldn't cover cosmetic items either. Factory bought me a new set of headlights toward the end of my 4/40, when they were going bad again the GMPP did not cover at about 70,000 miles. Like I said, it's very good but it's not like the factory warranty (because it's not factory).

Exactly !!!! It doesn't cover a lot of different things, Also I had the powertrain warranty at the time as I was reading most of the parts mentioned it was covered by powertrain warranty anyways. I think only thing difference was ac compressor if I remember correctly. Then I talked to my service advisor He didn't tell me it's waste of money directly but that's what it came down to it.

I got a bit more out of GMPP than it cost, the labor on the slave alone would've been nearly $1,800, plus Two PS pumps and a rack (among other things, mounts etc...). Do the math, GMPP is a great thing in my world.

I just wouldn't want someone to expect Gold Key treatment, it's not that.

Wouldn't cosmetic be covered under regular full coverage car insurance?

    Depends on your deductible

    My deductible is $2500

I can get a lot of cosmetic work done for $2500 before insurance claim

    Re: warranty

Headlights turning yellow or having moisture inside? I don't know if that's an insurance item as it was purely cosmetic. Cadillac took care of it.
