2012 Escalade Stolen and Stripped in San Antonio

I just recently bought this vehicle not knowing how easy it was to steal. Hard to believe a $60k vehicle can be taken as fast as 14 seconds. Will definitely not look at another one until Security is increased in them. I never even heard the alarm go off. San Antonio isn't the right place a I guess for an Escalade.

    Internal Combustion Engine

    Electric Vehicle

Makes no difference. If you bypass the anti theft system, the vehicle operates normally regardless of drivetrain.

Any vehicle can be stolen... this makes it much harder:

Sorry, though. Shouldn't happen to anyone.

surpriced they did not totally strip it off engine interior doors but indeed sorry for your loss

    ----------

i am wondering if the old collars that used to be on old chevys work for these would be harder to get them out of park and mess with the ignition switch perhaps that and the steering club but would def hate to have to put that on every time i leave the truck

If damaging the shift lever is the way they are doing this, then the only way to park is infront of a curb or between 2 vehicles.
