Re: Tire pressure sensors not working

Did you do the whole relearn procedure?

Otherwise most tire shops and all dealers have the electronic tool to do it in a few minutes. I usually drive straight to one of the service bays and tip one of the techs to do it for me.

Btw, it always takes a while for the computer to figure out the sensors have been changed or been moved ... one time it took half an hour, another time I drove two days thinking I got away without having to reprogram them and then bam, the DIC alert went up.

    Thanks Soulsea,
I just spent 15 min outside trying to deflate each tire listening for the horn to go off. The only tire which I could get the horn to sound was the front passenger. I'm going back to wheel works on monday.

Yeah, they're a pita, sometimes they register on the fist try sometimes it takes several tries ... sometimes they won't cooperate at all. I actually gave up trying to do it myself a long time ago, cause it'd drive me nuts to not know if it was me, the quirkiness of the system, or if one of the sensors was damaged or out of battery. With the programmer the tire shops/dealerships have, if it doesn't work after a couple of tries then I know it's the sensor itself.

Good luck on Monday (are they open monday?) ... the DIC alert is irritating but won't hurt anything.

Woah a little far, its a tool that test, activates or wakes up the sensor, it doesn't plug in, you use it at the wheel, jus hit a reputable tire shop, they usually have one
