    Front Door Actuator

I have a 2008 Escalade EXT and last September I was in an accident were I was hit down my drivers side door. I took it to the dealer to be repaired. Now my driver door lock actuator has gone bad. I've only put a few thousand mile on the truck since the accident and the dealer won't warranty the work to fix it. Come to find out also that they used the old parts from the damaged door. I've worked in the automotive industry for many years and wouldn't think those types of part would be reused due to failure later. Is this procedure to use these old parts? Now I'm stuck with a door that doesn't lock, unless manually.

    Re: Front Door Actuator

I grew up in the auto body business it's common practice to reuse any parts still functional and not showing any physical damage.
