Dealer Scratched chrome housing on MIRROR and replaced my nice rims with curbed rims

I took my car to the stealer (not a cadillac dealer) where we purchased it because they owed us 2 new tires and brakes. I got it back with a scratched side view mirror and 3 beat up rims. i questioend them. they denied of course and now I have to go back and try to find 3 good wheels in storage and maybe find a solution for the mirror. can the chrome part of the mirror be replaced?

    Thanks,

    Jason

To my knowledge the chrome part cannot be changed, only the cap, motor, and lens, can be swapped. However you can get pretty good deal on ebay with used pre-painted single mirrors with few to no blemishes on them ... just be sure you get the same type you have cause there are a few variations, some with/without blind zone alert, some with the dotted arrow some with the straight arrow.

I have heard horror stories like this about some dealerships. I'm not sure what recourse you have, but I have to say you seem to be handling way better that I would have.

Re: Dealer Scratched chrome housing on MIRROR and replaced my nice rims with curbed r

I am trying to put things into perspective after losing my father a few weeks ago, but I did storm in there the other day. I normally would have been really nice about it. Now I have to go back and spend about 3 hours out of my busy day. I dont know what they will do about the mirror though. They seem to borrow a lot of parts from the other escalades on the lot.

    Thanks.

Tell us the name of the dealer. I'm a firm believer in in singing the praises of those who treat me right as well as wrong. Here's a link to a thread where you can tell your story. Who knows, if the thread becomes popular maybe I'll sticky it...

My local Chevy dealer treats my Caddy's better than my Caddy dealer, but that does not happen often, many dealerships just do not care

    Hello SilverEscaladeESV,

I apologize for your experience you had at the dealership recently in regards to your scratched mirror and rims. Was this a GM dealership? I would be more than happy to file a formal complaint for you and call and speak to them regarding this issue if it was. If this is something that you would like to do, please private message me your name, contact info, VIN, mileage, dealership, and the service advisor you have had contact with at the dealership. Thank you very much for taking the time to read my post. I look forward to assisting you with this concern.

Chrome on my 09 plat started to bubble on one, top cover loose on the other. Still under b2b. Dealer replaced both mirrors, paint job was horrible.
