well stock headlights are 4100-4300k, don't know what LED's match that, but they make LED's in 5000k. I have the 6000k DRL's from VLED's, and some 5000k LEDS for my license plate light which looks very "warm" compared to my 6000k lights on my puddle lamps and parking lights. Right now I have 6000k headlights, DRL's parking lights, foglights and turn signals.

Yea replaced all the outside bulbs with 5k and inside went with 6k VLED bulbs, they just last much longer than the others I have used.

Thanks guys. I think i'm leaning toward 6k all around. I like using fog lights with DRL's. Headlights and fogs at the same time make people angry around here haha hcvone do you think the 5k match oem headlights?

The fogs on the escalade isn't blinding.... The housing is so small and it doesn't really shine upwards. But my 2006 avalanche I had, had some blinding fog lights.

I have 6000k license, reverse, DRL, park, pudd. and the head lights are factory 4300k. It looks ok I heard that if I do 6000k headlights it does not shine as far as the factory 4300.

The way our projector is, even with the 6000k bulbs it won't look "blue" just whiter. I have the 6000k bulbs from retrofit source and it isn't as "white" as my 6000k drl's or switch back led's. and not quite blueish white like my 6000k fogs and parking lights.

gdirty5 and hcvone where did you purchase your HID fog kit. I'm hearing negative feedback from people on going with the 55w system. Also people are saying they don't like the slim ballast due to it having a separate igniting switch. They prefer original ballast where everything is in the one ballast.

P.S. you literally can drive yourself nuts going over all this stuff! Bulbs, company's to go with etc.... Geez i'm getting tired haha

Re: 2010 Escalade Luxury H.I.D fogs and LED replacement lights

my fog lights i've gone through a few so don't know where they currently are from. The ballast I know are 2 year old HIDEXTRA ballasts (every year on black friday they sell them for 50% off and free shipping) and the bulbs have been changed from 6000k to 3000k back to 6000k. So bulbs are from ebay. The headlights are from retrofitsource.com. The DRL's and turn signal switch backs are from VLED's. Also my puddle, parking, and interior bulbs are from FLASHtech.

Here's more pics for you to get an idea of what they look like. I think I may swap out the parking lights with the lights I have in my front door from VLEDS since the door lights are more white and my parking lights are currently a "cool white/blue"

Anyone use the 9145 fog plug and play led bulb? Just wondering if the 50w CREE R4 XP bulb does the job with out buying a whole HID kit for the fogs? ijdmtoy also carries the same bulb 5201 for DRL's. Curious to know if anyone has went this route and is happy with it?

Well bulbs finally came in. Here's some pics in my album under my profile. Just ordered some different parking lights because the bulbs I ordered were not 360 degree so there a little dull. I also went with LED fog light bulbs instead of an HID kit and am very pleased. I put an album under my profile with exact bulbs I used from ijdmtoy.com Very happy. VLED was backordered till 8/15 and didn't want to wait. Let me know if anyone needs anymore specifics. And thanks to all for all the input on making my decision.
