    o2 sensor problem

long story short I had an o2 sensor on my 08 escalade go bad, I replaced it and now I am getting a p1175 code. I replaced the sensor with an aftermarket one and not a stock sensor. Could it be the aftermarket sensor is not registering as fast as the stock therefor causing the code? I am wondering if replacing the other upstream sensor with the same sensor would solve this issue.

I do know you have to replace both, doesnt matter if stock or not, than disconnect the battery for 5 min and reconnect.
