2007 Ext sometimes won't start. Electrical issue??
I have a 2007 Ext with 130k miles that sometimes will not start. I can't lock or unlock it with the remote. Once I manually open the door and switch the ignition, nothing comes on except the light on the gauges and the ac display. However, the gauges will not move. The power locks, windows or lights will not turn on. It seems like there is no power at all. I noticed if I disconnect the positive cable from the battery and re-connect it turns on fine. I will then go about my business normally and at random times I will have this problem and I will have to repeat the process. I know whether the truck will start if I unlock the truck with the remote and the lights flash. If nothing happens then I know it won't start.
The oil pressure sensor is not working properly because of a diagnostic test performed at a Chevrolet dealer, but they said that would not cause it to not turn on. No additional codes popped up. They told me to wait until the next time it has the problem and have it towed to their place in order for them to work on it. If anybody has any clue to what it might be, please let me know as it is frustrating driving around and not knowing if the truck will start.

I apologize for any trouble your vehicle is causing for you. I understand how it can be frustrating when an issue cannot be resolved right away. I see the dealer is willing to work towards a resolution with you once the issue occurs again, but I understand how you are hesitant to even drive your vehicle for not knowing if it will start or not. If other issues or questions arise, don't hesitate to reach out to us via private message.
