Question about switching power running boards from 2010 Premium to Luxury

I am throwing around the idea of trading my 2010 Premium for a 2010 Luxury with lower miles. How hard would it be to switch the power running boards out to the Luxury? I have looked under the vehicle and noticed that there are 3 wiring harnesses on each power step. Would i need to remove the whole harness to make this work? Has anyone done this and can give me pointers? The dealership said they would let me keep the steps for a $500 difference. I love the look of the power running boards versus the stationary boards.

    Thanks for the help.
