    So Long!

Unfortunately times are changing for me... I traded in the Escalade. It just wasn't as practical as I thought it would be. I do a lot of side work and I couldn't haul my ladders around like I was used to with my previous truck. I thought about a ladder rack but that would have looked goofy. LOL!

Just wanted to take a minute and thank everyone for the help that I received. This was a great online community and I'm sure you will keep doing what you have been which is great!

I know what you mean. I just moved up from a GMC Yukon and have already felt out of place putting simple items in it. In the Yukon I thought nothing of it! Now the wife, she's different, I'm amazed at what she can manage to get in her Eldorado and think nothing of it. But, she does take care not to cause any damage to the car. Take Care!

I came from an 11 Silverado. I hauled a 6 foot board in the Escalade! It was wrapped in plastic or I wouldn't have dared. Lol it was a process of folding the 2nd and 3rd row and gently setting the board in...all while standing on my head.

I thought I did okay. Got $46K for it when Blue Book was listed for $46.5K. But all in all did okay. I just figured with the pick-up bed that I would have been able to use it more than I did. A 6' ladder wouldn't fit in there without resting it on the tailgate. That was the breaking point... And my extension ladder? FORGET IT! LOL!

But with the EXT, it may have a 5 1/2' bed, but you can't haul anything big in there because of the location of the 3rd brake light which sticks off the back window of it about a foot. Which means nothing tall basically unless it was like a dresser. I went into a brand new Ram 2500 with the 6.5' bed. Got a bedliner and I am good to go now. I am surprised that I like it as much as I do!
