    Dealer Vs Private Mechanic

    I got new Arnott Refurbished OEM shocks for 07 Escalade. Should I have the dealer install them or my local mechanic?

    Whichever is cheapest. Minimal auto mechanic experience can change your shocks, its not difficult. You just want someone you can trust...

    If you have good rapport with your local mechanic, go for it.

    The shop should be able to check the hoses and spray them with soap water to check for any leaks.

    dealership the price difference is not allot more, just call around with the last 8 of your vin. Also it will cost you more in the long run if you buy the cheaper ones.
