New (to me) 08 ESV...battery/power issues?

Ok..so I've owned this 08 for 1 week and worked flawlessly for the first 1000 miles.

Now i'm having some electrical issues.

Yesterday the nav system rebooted twice, resetting the clock but not my fav stations. While it did that, gauges went out, battery and belt lights went on and stabilitrack light went on. I did notice some hesitation while this occured but it lasted like 3-4 seconds and back to norm.

Then today, went to the store and soon as I shut if off, it seemed like the battery died as the locks did not unlock and the dome/map lights didn't turn on either. I had to manually unlock my door and get out. Tried to arm it and nothing. As soon as I came back out (about 5mins max), I pressed the unlock button on the remote and doors unlocked. Key in..turned on like everything was ok.

Got back home and it did the same thing! Just finished checking the battery with my multimeter and I get no 12+ volts at the terminals.

Not sure if its the battery (its a cheap replacement on there) but I've never seen a dead battery come back to life after 5mins.

    Any ideas/thoughts?

Could be a alternator not charging or possibly a bad battery. What's the voltage at idle? Also check your connections. You can have 14 plus volts at the terminals but if its a loose or corroded connection it doesn't do any good.

I ended up cleaning the terminal posts and made sure the terminals were tightened correctly on the posts. Haven't had any more issues. Gonna keep monitoring and see how it goes.
