Sounds like the controls are going bad up front. Try swapping out the control module...

Rarely i'm having the same problem but when mine doesnt work I either, turn off and start the engine again or keep playing with on/off button for about 15 seconds, until the fan starts blowing.

It all depends because, on one occasion nothing helped but leaving the car alone for a few hours.

When you say the front air is not blowing out, you mean no fan at all, or just not cold?

If its not under warranty which sounds like not take it to one of the mom and pop shops for a free estimate. Then you'll know and can decide for them to do it of do it on your own. Remember most chain stores charge a diagnostic fee just to look at it. I'm not sure if the stealership would, but most likely.

I think our vehicles have 2 sperate AC's front and rear. so could be a lot of different things including a leak. if the compressor turns on and off with a click under the hood constantly, or if its colder from certain vents than others, or if it won't stay on, these could all indicate a leak. The compressor will turn off if it's low pressure in the line so it won't burn out. A can of refrig. WITH the gauge on it is around $25 at an autoparts store.
