Colorado Labor Day Road Trip
I took my family (wife, 6 year old daughter, and 4.5 year old son) on a 4 day road trip this past weekend in our 2010 Escalade ESV Premium. What a great road trip vehicle!
We started off in the Denver area, went through Colorado Springs, Pueblo, hiking and sledding at the Great Sand Dunes, Alamosa, Pagosa Springs, Durango, Mesa Verde National Park, Cortez, Four Corners Monument, Dolores, Telluride, Ouray, Montrose, swimming in Blue Mesa Reservoir, Gunnison, Crested Butte, Buena Vista, Leadville, and I-70 back home into the Denver area.
Amazing trip and the kids did Awesome. Colorado is absolutely beautiful and so geographically diverse. We are so lucky to live in this amazing state!
1125 miles in total and averaged 18.42 mpg. This was based upon actual miles driven and gallons put into the vehicle at fill-ups. I noticed that each fill up my average mpg on the computer was 1-2 mpg off of the miles/gallons manual method. Also noticed that my gallons used was usually 1-2 gallons off of what I actually put into the vehicle as well.
Hope everyone had as great of a Labor Day weekend as we did. Cheers!
