Thinking of buying something like this....

    Hey guys,

I currently own a 2005 ESV but I've been thinking about "upgrading" to a 2007 model. What do you guys think about this deal?

    http://orlando.craigslist.org/cto/3143580038.html

What about the price they're asking for it? It has 157k miles. What are some of the things I should be looking for?

    THanks!

That's a lot of miles and a lot of money for that many miles, the engine will last, but I would be worried about the trans and diffs. I picked up an 07' with 130k less miles for less money, I personally would look for something with a lot less miles

I'd pass on that. That's too much money for that many miles.

Far too many miles for a vehicle with high repair cost items. With that many miles it will be ripe for many wear items to be needing replacement, and repair. Just the electronic sensors and relays alone are only good for a certain amount of cycles, and they start going bad. They can be costly to troubleshoot as well as replace. You can't even get a good extended warranty to help cover the upcoming repair bills when (not if) they occur. In other words.....I'd keep looking for a better buy.

Car is owned by Jaikishan Premchand age 38 of Oakland ,FL. He had a company called Richie Car Service. So maybe he used this as a limo? 2 months ago he started a company called Chris Auto Accessories so maybe he's getting out of the limo biz? I think it has too many miles, If you buy it id buy a warranty too if anyone would sell that to you, which i doubt. Good luck with it either way though here is the car search site where I buy all my cars from http://www.web2carz.com/10/285/33803...lade/used-cars

How were you able to buy a 2007 with 27,000 miles for less than $19,500?

Price is to high for a base model with that kind of mileage.

Truck we serviced since new, owner was trading it in on a Audi A8, he told me the dealer was giving him 16,500 which is just under 17,500 with the tax difference here in Pa, so I offered him $17,500 and got an 07' test truck, wet sanded and polished, many coats of Zaino and it looks new, platinum wheels make it look nice.

I agree. Too much $ for a lot of miles. I see a lot of. 2007's in our area going for mid 20's with less than 100k on the odometer.

I also believe thats abit high. I was also looking, had a 05 EXt wanted to move up to an 07, I found a 09 with 130K miles sticker was 23K I traded my 05 with 96K for the 09 less than 10K, I think I did ok. I don't put a lot of miles on and hope in a few years it'll even itself out. I love these EXT's!!! Besides it had a kick ass 1 of a kind paint so I'm happy. Keep looking there out there! HCvone that was a hell of a deal on that truck! the normal guy wouldn't get a price like that, the dealer would have put that on the lot at least 20K maybe 23K, great buy!
