2008 Escalade EXT fog light HID's

Hey everyone just wondering, I would like to change out my halogen fog lights to HID but was wondering which kit is the best? how to connect properly, either just with the existing harness or wiring to the battery? and also whether the reflector needs to be removed? and could the fog light housing or screen melt?

Hey man,

I've got 55W DDM Tuning HID's in my 2011 Escalades fog lights. I've been running them for months, no melting or anything. I didn't have to remove the reflector or anything and it plugs into the existing wiring for your halogen bulbs already. It's quick and easy to install, if it doesn't work remember to just switch the polarity on the wiring first cause I wasted a lot of time trying to figure out why it didn't turn on.

I got a 55W 4300K HID fog light kit from retro-solutions.com. Very nice kit, super bright and easy to install.

Where did you guys mount the ballasts? Also, which type of ballast did you guys get slim or regular?

I got the slims one and mounted them on top that black plastic thing right below the fog lights that attach to the wheel well and bumper.
