ClimatE Control
When the climate control system is off, can you close the vents? My 08 used to close when the system was off now they stay open and the dealer says they were never supposed to close.

Re: ClimatE Control
I have an 08 and there's nothing in the vent that would electronically close them at the vent itself.

Re: ClimatE Control
Basically, when the climate control system is off can you push the recirculate button to close the vents or does it flash 3 times and go back to fresh air symbol?

Just had the same deal with mine. Looked it up in the manual. Says recirc mode can't be used with defog, defrost, or floor mode. Tried switching it to recirc in the right mode and then switched it off. Went right back to fresh when turned off.

I hate the climate control!!!! Both driver & passenger are on the same temp (ac on) & one is blowing HOT air, the other COLD air & vice versa. While sitting at a stop light, only HOT air comes out, if I turn off the passenger side, air still blows through the vents!! I want a normal working system!!

Yuup, it was in there last week and they replaced something, cant remember the name off hand but they said it wasnt reading the outside temp correctly. I will be taking it back to them next week because I have an issue pumping gas also, they replaced something related to the venting, but now its worse than it was before they "fixed" it.
