    Angry Ipod Shuffle Connection

Hey guys, when I connect my Ipod shuffle to the USB port in my Escalade all I get on the screen is "please wait... connecting in progress" or something along those lines but never actually connects. Anyone have any tips on what to try?

    Thanks

Reset your shuffle. Should fix the problem.

As said a reset on your ipod should correct the problem, you will find yourself doing this from time to time, I have ipods in every truck, they just seem to get confused from time to time, happens in my euro cars too

    Re: Ipod Shuffle Connection

What kind of reset? The complete factory one?

I tried the regular one here and it didn't work: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1655

I'll try the full factory reset with the utility.

Edit: I have a 4th gen shuffle and there doesn't seem to be a supported utility for it, anyone know what I should do or can give me their personal step by step resent process?

    Thanks.

    Re: Ipod Shuffle Connection

I use the iPod classics in my cars/trucks, but have tried all iPhones from 1-4 and they all work, I will try to get a hold of a shuffle and try it, I know someone who has one and see what happens

Levonh, what methods have you already pursued for troubleshooting? Have you attempted to connect through both the USB port and on the audio faceplate? (See page 1-17 of your owners manual for details!)

If you would like further assistance at any point, I recommend contacting the helpful Canadian Customer Service representatives at GM of Canada. They are available M-F 7:30am - 11:30pm, Sat 7:30am - 6:00 EST at 800-263-3777.

    Best,

    Re: Ipod Shuffle Connection

Thanks Katie. I think I am blind or there is no USB plug on the radio face plate. There is one in the console but that is all I could find.
Are you referring to the front one or rear one or perhaps the RGB plugs in the rear???
    All help is appreciated.
I also found this video which suggests that a Shuffle may not work???

    Any thoughts??

Spoke to GM in Canada. They are following up with their "Tech Support" people. Will post results when they are made available.
