I couldn't find a dealer willing to install this , I did it myself . GM informed the dealers that all liability would be on the dealers . For some reason they aren't willing to assume that liability My Cadillac dealer had me bring my EXT back to verify the washer was removed . The mechanic who performed the recall had a family emergency while doing the recall and couldn't remember removing the heater . Of course I had installed the Alpha Therm and it took quite a bit of convincing that it wasn't a GM heater even though it says Alpa Therm on it . That led into the service manager claiming any failures related to the Alpha Therm won't be covered by my current or extended warranties . i am willing to take that chance , it seems to me that Alpa Therm would have all their issues corrected after all they went out of business because of their original design and I,m sure they don't want to go down that road again .

I will get pics when it happens, and who knows maybe another side business in the works.
Do you have a harness available? I can get the switches. I would like to do the install on an 09 that was made without the heater.

    Thanks

I also have a 09 ESV Plat. No wires. It's best to hook it up to factory spec. When you push the button, the unit heats up, then the system operates, then pauses till it heats for the next spray. I think it does this 3 times.
If you get the direct connect, yes it runs all the time as long as the vehicle is running, however, you need to wait 15 to 20 seconds between each spray for the water to reheat. I prefer the factory setup, factory timer.

I am very interested in the OEM switch and what ever is needed to make it factory.
Thanks, let me know what ever you find out...

Most likely. That's what mine did. Alphatherm pops in very easily if you go that route.

ya if you have the button and it doesnt work its been removed, open the hood look all the way in the back right corner, almost right behind where your light switch is, do you see a black metal piece with a harness on it?

Next to the bracket that would of held the Heater should be a metal clip with two harness's mounted to it,

Check out page 5 you should see a bracket like that in the car, they have it mounted to a wall.
