I'm not impressed with their quality of parts either, using hose claps and stuff like that but for the price I think its a great entry lever kit.

Took it to Gainesville for a baseline quarter mile pass. It went 15.5@90mph. A little slower than I was hoping for, but it was pretty warm out.

    Re: Twin Turbo Escalade

I have a built motor, trannsmission and a front mount single 76mm turbo @ 12#s and it makes just over 600 AWHP. I am building a 04 twin turbo silverado and I am pretty sure the manifolds would bolt in on an 07+ but you would have to fab up your own cold side. Thats what I did, buy the manifolds for the 99-07 body style trucks and had fab up the cold side. BTW it probably wont be "just thow on some turbos". Its not that simple. You still have the motor, transmission, fuel system, tuning and much more. But good luck and please keep us updated

    Re: Twin Turbo Escalade

Stop beating on it. Mine is an 07 with 40k miles and I am on my 5th transmission. The stock one lasted the longest at 20k and then I have had rebuilt ones and I had RPM Transmissions build it for $2700. Nobody makes hard parts for the 6L80E yet. So I just buy cheap used ones out of totaled escalades cause no matter how much I spend on a transmission or converter they all seem to last right around 5K miles. I think Circle D is begining to make hard parts but they are still in test. We will see. My next option is a 4L80E swap but then I have to buy a stand alone for the tranny and I dont want all that problems and garbage that comes along with all that and not to mention it would end up costing about $6-7k. If I could get a tranny, transfer case and half shafts to hold power I could make around 850 AWHP. I have also blown a transfer case into pieces rolling into from 5 MPH. Gears and shafts and all kinds of bearings and good stuff all over the intersection. A car that was 2 cars behind me ran over peices and had a flat tire. Luckily it was right in front of my shop and could coast to the front. They needed a tow truck.

The trans issue is the only part that I really need to figure out. I have a good guy to build it, but that won't help much without the parts.

2Tone, have you tried contacting Circle D Transmissions in Houston? They are starting to build these transmissions. We have the same trans as the new Camaro SS so parts will definitely start coming out for us soon.

It has been a while, but I finally got all of the parts in and the build started yesterday. The trans is going out on Friday to get built. It feels good to finally get this started.
