Are you the original owner? I ask because there may be a security code for the nav/radio system, like a 4 digit code that the original owner may have used to prevent people from using it if it were to be stolen. If this is the case and you do not know the code you will have to go to the dealer and have them reset it and give you a new code.
I had this happen to me on a Chevy Malibu and I think the dealer charged me like $10 to reset it. Hope this helps.

This just happened to me. The truck was getting detailed...for over 4 hours. Battery was dead. I jumped it and all seemed fine. Drove it 20 miles to my folks' place, 3 hours later it started up fine. When I was driving home I noticed the 6 disk changer didn't work- no video no audio. This morning the battery was completely dead. Took it to the dealer and they are replacing the nav unit. A disk keeps spinning causing a continuous drain on the battery.

    These radios are VIN programmed.
If the VIN stored in the radio matches other VIN storage locations in other modules the radio comes on.
If not it will display "Theftlock" on the screen.

Check system fuses, try the battery disconnect again, then take it to the dealer if it still doesn't work.
    The unit may have failed.
Did you cross the cables by accident? Anything else not working?

I had this same thing happen to me. I left my dome light on, and after jumping it the stereo would not turn on. After reading this thread, I followed the first suggestion of disconnecting the battery for 60seconds - then I had to push the power button on the stereo but it turned right on.
THANKS FOR THE SUGGESTIONS - Good luck to others.

Ryantran, have you been able to consult your dealer at all regarding this concern? If you would like me to look into this further for you, please don't hesitate to email me at Katie_Lucille@gmexpert.com. (I understand, however, if you prefer a DIY approach; if this is the case, then I hope the community chimes in soon with feedback.)

    Best,

I had the EXACT same thing happened to me just yesterday! And I resurrected another thread for that.. didn't see this one until just now.

I just pulling the RDO fuse under the hood and left it out for 30 min. Did nothing except resetting the clock.

This was the second time I had a boost and it didn't had this happen last time around.

Re: battery died now nav radio will not turn on!!

Just got back from the dealership yesterday. They outsourced audio/video work to a specialist store. CAD$80 plus tax was the cost to reset the entertainment system to re-enable the DVD player. I am going to contact GM roadside assistance to see what they say about this... since I am blaming this on the battery boost. I had it done twice. First time the guy came in and did it in 2 seconds. The last guy came in and struggled to get it jumped, messed around and broke some plastic piece off... sucks
