    Question 22" Wheel Corrosion

Does anyone know definatively whether GM will cover the 22" chrome Escalade wheels if they are pealing and flaking? All 4 have heavy flaking and look terrible. It is only a matter of time before they start leaking. Those who have gottem replacement wheels, were they covered under the corrosion warranty or by bumper to bumper? My 07 Escalade has 60K miles and the local service manager says since it is over 50K it is no longer covered by GM. I would think it would be a corrosion issue but I could see GM seeing it differently. I live in the Indianapolis area.

I think with those miles you are out of luck. I would just buy a dediacted set of summer rims and use your present for the winter. Honestly, even if they get replaced, you will likely have a similar problem again in a year or two. This is my only gripe about my vehicle. Everything else is holding up superb. The corrosion warrantee, as I understand it, is for body panel rust through only. Not exhaust, wheel, trim, undercarriage rust.

I am also from the Indianapolis area and had the same issue, but my tires were actually leaking. The dealership put a sealant on all four wheels, which they said was covered under warranty. I'm not certain as to whether they were referring to the 50k bumper-to-bumper or the corrosion warranty which I believe is covered above 50k.

    Re: 22" Wheel Corrosion

    same here
first set replaced free as part of bumper to bumper
Its got nothing to do with corrossion from salt etc
we dont use salt here. Its just a poor quality job.
Second set lasted less than a year, flaking real bad

And yeah, I had a slow leak in the tire as a result. Asked dealer if there were any issues..NO. But when I bought 4 tires they had to sand and polish the bead area so the tires would seal 1500 bucks wasted
