Radio with AUX option question

I have an 08 Escalade and on the radio screen I now have a AUX option. The other day they replaced my radio due to some nav issues and updated the software. I now have a AUX tab on my screen which did not exsist before. I do not have stock rear DVD. What is this AUX tab for? It does not seem to work with anything. Can I connect an ipod to it? Is there a connection behind the radio? If not how do I remove the tab from the screen?

I connect my iPhone to the auxilary RCA inputs behind the center console to listen to Pandora radio. I use a "RCA to 3.5mm" cable. I connect the RCA cables to the center console inputs, then the 3.5mm plug to the iPhone, set my radio station, then press the AUX tab and it's all good!

Unfortunatley, I do not have the RCA jacks behind the console since I do not have the DVD screen. For that reason I do not understand why I have an AUX tab on the nav screen. It drives me crazy looking at it when it has zero function.

They replaced the NAV without configuring it for the options that your vehicle has...

I had my NAV replaced, and for 4 months I went without having use of the back screens in my vehicle. Take it into the dealership and tell them they need to configure the NAV unit for the options your vehicle has and doesn't have...

I still need to take mine back in, When the vehicle is on Aux, I have video coming in to RCA, it wont show up on the back screens until on Aux, I change the back screens from Aux, to DVD, then back to Aux, finally get video... Does everyone have to do this?

Thanks for your input. I asked the dealer about it and they had no idea why the AUX was showing up. It is very typical for the owner to know more about the cars then the dealer. I will call them on Monday and ask them to reconfigure the settings.

They can remove that option with their Tech II Tool so it does not show up.
