Removing leather (rear armrests and front head rests), can see they are not spending ANY new money on making old parts now then (or probs using over stock of old parts).

I assume the new NAV will be able to retro fit to a 2007, 2008 or 2009 so you get a USB radio in that vehicle.

Sounds to me like the 2009 is the latest year thats good...

They took the switches off the overhead console, they are still in the pillers behide/next to the middle seats. Trying to get the roof light thing explained but GM could not, what I think it is they deleted the buttons and made it a fixed lamp that only turns on when the doors are opened or thru the dash. I would say they did this because kids would leave them one, this way they can not turn them on or off. They keep making them cheaper and charging the customer more, it's GM's highest profit the Escalade, but they want more.

The rear lights they are referring to are not overhead reading or interior illumination lights. They're the multi-colored lights showing distance to objects behind you. They're located in the rear pillars next to the glass hatch and are visible when you look in your rear view mirror so they can be used in conjunction with the rear view camera and audible indicators. IMO, they are useless.

I use the lights and rarely look at the camera, but could live without them.

Does anyone have any idea when the new smaller Obamamotors sized Escalade is supposed to come out??? Keep hearing possibly 2012 or 2013. Just curious what the rumor mill is out there...

I heard the new one is going to be built off the Lambda platform...meaning smaller. I was wondering do we know what year?? I would then make sure I get the last year built for the biggie ESV.

Their sales will tank if they make it smaller, and customers will run to get into Navigators and RR's, customers like me. Don't think they want to lose customers that purchase their biggest profit trucks yearly, but that is just what will happen.

Isn't the SRX built on the Lambda platform?

Yes.. and they better hurry with that turbocharged engine because if its anything like the Traverse LTZ I drove back in May, it will struggle to get out of its own way.

No, the new SRX is not on Lamba. The new SRX is smaller than the Traverse/Enclave. It's the size of the new Chevy Equinox.

The talk is that the next gen Escalade will be on Lambda. While I think it would be good for Cadillac to have a Lambda based vehicle, I don't think it should replace the truck based Escalade. Time will tell.

Definitely disappointing to read about the corners being cut on the latest Escalade.

The Srx, traverse, and enclave are all lambda

I just got one installed at my Cadillac dealership due to a warranty issue.
It took 3 weeks before it came in. I didn't expect it to change, and neither did my service advisor, but apparently GM stopped making the 9-3 clocks, and went for the roman numerials (for the upcoming 2010 Escalades)

it says in the new site, rear suspension as 5 point coil spring which should be independent but has the same feature for the 09.
