| Re: How to Clean the Fake (plastic) Wood on Dash I do the above (hcvone) for weekly/daily cleaning: microfibre and invisible glass. About every other month I use clear plastic polish on all the wood and aluminum trim. Removes any tiny scratches and makes it shine. You put the clear plastic polish on like wax, it hazes, then you remove. 15 minutes process including hazing time while you do other stuff. I got mine at an autoparts store, but I think even Walmart carries it now. Plus, you can use it on sungalsses, PDA screens, etc to remove tiny scratches (like from abrasion such as a pocketbook being placed on the console GRRRRRRRRRRR). Wife never does it, but seems every other woman who sits in the front seat does it before I can stop her. |
