I use a little water on a soft microfiber towel, also have used Invisible Glass, glass cleaner. I use Z-5 to cover the swirls in the plastic wood. Z-5 is Zaino wax. Make sure you use a soft towel because it scratches easy

Try soapy water without the soap. I just vac mine clean then use water only. You might have to use a spot cleaner for the occasional beer spill but most of what I see is dust best removed by a vac. I see a lot of detail guys using air chucks blowing out the hard to reach areas.

Re: How to Clean the Fake (plastic) Wood on Dash

I do the above (hcvone) for weekly/daily cleaning: microfibre and invisible glass. About every other month I use clear plastic polish on all the wood and aluminum trim. Removes any tiny scratches and makes it shine. You put the clear plastic polish on like wax, it hazes, then you remove. 15 minutes process including hazing time while you do other stuff. I got mine at an autoparts store, but I think even Walmart carries it now. Plus, you can use it on sungalsses, PDA screens, etc to remove tiny scratches (like from abrasion such as a pocketbook being placed on the console GRRRRRRRRRRR). Wife never does it, but seems every other woman who sits in the front seat does it before I can stop her.

Re: How to Clean the Fake (plastic) Wood on Dash

I had some kind of coffee creamer stain on the center console wood, so I used some glass cleaner on it. Cleaned it right up. While I was at it, I did the rest of the dash as well. Seemed to work OK.
