Looking to buy an '08 or '09 Platinum ESV

Hello, we're planning to enter the world of Cadillac ownership. Specifically looking for a used 2008 or 2009 Platinum ESV with a white exterior. Would consider a dealer car if certified, but private party is great, too. We're cruising all the usual spots (ebay, Autotrader, craigslist, dealer sites), but would be grateful for any leads, advice, etc. TIA! AD

Good luck with your search. I had to order mine to get the color i wanted, and it took 2 months to get here. The White and Black ones are the common colors. But you don't see very many Platinums around, or atleast where i at theres not many maybe one or two. But once you find one your going to love it. I do

i'm not sure where you're from but right now at Dave Towell Cadillac in Ohio they have an '09 and i saw a used black '08 on ebay in Texas

If you dont mind a bit of a drive, Weil Cadillac in Libertyville, IL (north of Chicago) usually has four or five pre-driven Platinums for sale. I checked their web site (weilcadillachummer.com) and they've got one just like you're looking for right now. Good luck!

Just returned from Chicago. Beautiful white platinum ESV in mint condition with 13,000 miles. Went into service exactly one year ago in May '08. This is my first American car in 25 years, and I'm duly impressed. And I've got a decent basis for comparison, having owned a bunch of different, supposedly high-end autos ('97 911 turbo, BMW M3 SMG, '03 Range Rover, '03 Audi A8L, '00 Mercedes S500, '92 Merc 500E). If the ESV holds up, I think I'll plunk down for a CTS V and stop buying German products, especially because our M3 and BMW-built Range Rover were duds in the reliability dept.

Drove the CTS V before leaving the dealer, and it was one sweet (and practical) ride. Something like 550 hp! Glad to see American engineering back in top form, and happy to be a new Caddy owner.

Looking for a CTS-V now. I can't believe how impressed I am with Cadillac's current cars, having owned nothing but Porsches, BMW's, Mercs, Range Rovers, and Audis for the past decade. I'm proud of GM for producing such fine machines. Hope it translates into eventual success for the company. I'm doing my part.
