They will only discount it $10,000, and that includes the "targeted lease return bonus". I am hoping to get more of a discount. They are offering the 0% financing for 48 months. Any info or recent buying experience would be appreciated.

Chrysler has been out of the limelight this past week but I’m assuming they have some sort of private equity plan. Ford’s stock has been increasing under the assumption that GM does a structured C11 sometime this summer. Meanwhile .gov has asked Citi (remember that no recovery can happen without bank participation?) to backstop all of the supplier receivables so the suppliers don’t go bankrupt if GM goes C11.
You may want to run in and make an offer after the 31st if things look like they will go as poor for GM as Wall Street believes. At any-rate us trader types believe that .gov will give a 30 day extension to GM to put together a recovery plan however most us also believe that GM will go enter into a prepackaged C11 and emerge 30-90 days afterward.
If you really wanna cut a good deal, pester your dealer a week before a GM .gov imposed deadline/C11 or within the first week of C11 while your dealer's fear is at a maximum before they figure out what will happen. |

In fact, you can pick up a hybrid with about 1500 miles on it (brand new in my book) for somewhere between mid to high 50's with the electric side rails AND being GM certified. The best part is that if you choose carefully, you can find GM factory vehicles. These vehicles were never titled to an individual. According to my accountant, this means you still get the $2300 tax credit. End story... for mid to high 50'a you get an extended warranty (6yr/100k), built in depreciation, AND the tax credit. That's my advice... |

Now the depreciation on these trucks is where you really save the big bucks. Find a low mileage, one owner, CPO Escalade and you'll save a great deal of money. You won't find 0% financing on a pre-owned vehicle. That's irrelevant if you're a cash buyer though.

Best deal out there. I would love to get rid of the remaining 16 mos of my 36 mos lease and buy a newer, better equipped CPO for less per month.
CPO, which I got on our 01 SLS, is the best thing since sliced bread. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
