Re: 2007 Escalade Muffler

I'm at the muffler shop as we speak removing the flowmaster 40 series and putting in the biggest magnaflow they make. The shop is charging me $ 225 for the muffler and installation. Thanks so much DKNLADE for offering your muffler. That was so nice of you. If anyone here wants my flowmaster, I'll also give it to you at no charge! Let me know, and thanks to all of you. Will let you know how the magnaflow works.

Just wanted to thank you for offering me your exhaust. That was so nice of you. I'm in miami though.
I'm putting in a magnaflow today. Hopefully it will work.

Re: 2007 Escalade Muffler

im surprised that any exhaust shop would have a muffler for 3 1/4 or 3 1/2 pipe laying around. not too many companies even make mufflers that size especially non-race ones, i looked for quite some time for a louder and cheaper stock replacement before getting the bb for my truck and no one around me had that size muffler. hows the sound difference?

The difference between the flowmaster and the magnaflow is incredible. Yes, its still not silent, but I know the escalade is not a silent car. The magnaflow is much much much closer to the stock though. The next issue is the pipe. Apparently, it has a large pipe which also makes it a bit louder. But... the magnaflow made it good enough for me.

I would say this.... the flowmaster had a much deeper "purr" than the magnaflow. The flowmaster made me feel like i was driving an 18 wheeler. The magnaflow makes me feel like Im driving a super cool truck that hauls butt. BTW, I drove a Porsche Cayenne S before this so Im really enjoying the Escalade

Check it out - Here is a pic!
