Heated windshield wiper fluid system stopped working in december of 08.
I thought it burned out cuz of this recall, but turns out the heater just broke.
The service techs were surprised as my 08 was the first at the dealership they have ever seen that wasn't part of the recall. kinda cool. |

Too bad GM took the inventing design co. to bankruptcy when they refused to pay them for systems supplied due to the failures regardless of the fact they provided a fix |

So how does the new replacement harness fit? (where does it plug in etc..) does it have a new heater element for the bottle?
Do these trucks have heated washer jets as well or just the heated water on the bottle?
When does it come on?
Many Thanks

Does this fuse need to be reinstalled? |

also...does the fix actually 'fix' it or just disable it?
thank you |

The only way to know is to look at the harness for the washer pump and see if it has the fused jumper installed or to check in the VIS system to see if it shows the recall completed.
A dealer will have access. There is a VIN check thread around here somewhere.
